Christmas Eve 2011

Up and at 'em...well kinda! lol... not quite at the 6am time I had envisioned for myself...I got to the store around 10am and it wasn't too bad actually! Got the rest of our food for Christmas ...and a few other items bought. Came home...had some coffee, finished out Gingerbread house and took a nap! I had a mild headache all day so BOO! to that!

Kiddos opened their Christmas eve Jammies... after dinner. I can't wait for them to open their gifts in the morning...and get the Turkey in the oven! Mmm Mmmm good! Mashed potatoes, Vegies, Green Bean casserole a salad, olives, pickles...It shall be a Kellogg Christmas feast!

Merry Christmas Everyone...I'll try to check in tomorrow...however if I don't! Enjoy a wonderful day with your loved ones!!

2012 and Goals for the year!

Okay! So today I finalized my 2012 Goals for the year! I'm so excited to get started and make some amazing things happen in the upcoming year!

2011 started out horrible...and gradually got better...so its only natural to keep that upward trend going...with some super duper goals for the New Year!!

Today was a pretty uneventful day...hung out with my kiddos, took a nap and focused on my Goals. Tomorrow I rise and shine early...hit Safeway by 6am to get the shopping out of the way...for our Sunday Christmas Feast! I can hardly wait for the kiddos to open their presents!! After that we'll enjoy a yummy breakfast and I'll start Christmas dinner...Kendy and I will bake all day on Saturday...so we have cookies for Santa and our Birthday cake for Jesus! Yup! We know the reason for the Season for sure!

One of my Goals is to blog EVERY day in 2012 so watch for that...it will be a bit of everything from my Passion happenings to family and personal stuff...The Life of a Passion Diva!

AND...another week has passed! lol...

First things first...The Attorney lost the case...however I could tell he learned some things from it...so while he may have lost for his client...he definitely gained some knowledge and power for his next case! He will also have a chance to represent this client again in late June on another charge...

Yay Spring has finally arrived...and Summer is on the way...even tho this Oregon weather is leaving a lot to be desired...I cannot wait for the kiddos to be done with School...and the Summer time rituals to begin!

Memorial Day weekend has been nothing short of L A Z Y...lol...we have done absolutely nothing...and that's okay...Tomorrow begins the new week...I'll head out to the Attorneys for a few hours...then home to do my regular thing...vacuum, sweep, mop...change sheets and make beds...I gotta hit the grocery store too...I'm gonna shop at Albertson's this week...So I gotta figure our menu up tonight before I go.

I also need to finish our 2010 taxes...talk about SLACKING! argh!

Monday...Monday...

Another great Monday on the books...Woke up bright and early...got my babies off to School and headed out to the office to learn how to be a Lawyers assistant! lol...Today was great...I really enjoy working around all this law stuff...everyone knows I am opinionated and have strong views about things so its really fun looking at things from different angles and with different sets of eyes...Tomorrow will be even MORE exciting because I get to go to court and kinda see how things go in the court room.

The current case we are working on is a trespass...however the defendant appears to be set up on the trespass charges...So we get to go in and prove the witness to not be a credible witness!! So fun!

My next step will be organizing the office area...OMGOSH you can totally tell a MAN has been running that office for a LONG time...haha...actually the firm is out of his home and the office is very disorganized in a man kind of way!

After that I went and picked Miss Kendy up from school...we went to the store...came home and I slept until we had to pick up Connor...came home again and I fell asleep again! good lord I am so not used to being up and being accountable at such an early hour!!!! lol...

I'll update tomorrow with how the case went and if we won or not...think positive thoughts for us!!

Passion Parties, New Adventures...and LIFE...

My goal is to blog daily now about my Passion business, my new adventure...and life in general...I will also be taking part in the 30 days of my Favorite products blog challenge...Each day, beginning June 1st, when I share my thoughts...I will also share one of my most favorite Passion Parties products...along with a discount on that product!!

Today was a great day...well it actually started last night...well maybe even last week...I was telling my husband I should go take the State Bar and become a lawyer...anyone can do it...no schooling needed...Pass the Bar...WAAHH-LAAA you are a Lawyer! lol...no joke...

My family knows I love my Judge Judy...and Peoples Court...so when a past hostess and now friend IM'd me about a job she'd like me to post out on my page...I thought hmmm...if the hours are right I might just try it...well lo and behold... the hours were perfect where I could take my kiddos to school and pick them up...and work in between!!!

K...so it passed one of my challenges...next to meet with her and the Lawyer running the show...and see how I felt...Well I met with Steve and Elaine...I felt like I fit right in...I am a take charge kinda gal any how...so I really didn't think this would be an issue...
SO now...I am an independent contractor working for an up and coming Attorney!!! I'm pretty excited about it...not really sure what to expect quite yet however I know I will ROCK whatever comes my way!! I'm ready to jump in and figure all this Lawyer lingo out...

I will absolutely still be doing Passion Parties...and it will always be my first priority...so I will need to learn how to pull all this together...find my groove...and make this work for everyone...including my family. Hubby is always very supportive...however my kiddos were a little shocked...and put off by the fact I would be 'WORKING' lol...In reality it is only a few hours a day Mon - Thur so we'll work it all out...plus it is VERY flexible...so I can do some stuff from home...if needed too!

So that is it...in a nutshell...my new adventure in LAW! haha...who'd of thought!!!

Getting my Passion Groove back...

Well, Well...it has been a month of craziness for my family and I...it all started on Monday January 10th when my Mom called and said she had a mild heart attack and was being rushed to Riverbend Medical center in Eugene OR...
that was just the beginning let me tell you...

we found out the next day that Mom needed triple bypass surgery! YIKES!! She was scheduled for Monday the 17th of January...when Wednesday the 12th Mom was rushed to ICU with 3 bleeds ...2 in her stomach...and 1 in a muscle in her back...Durning the time Mom was in ICU...my Dad had to come into Riverbend to get his stint replaced...and have dialysis...he had a kidney problem for the past year or so...so both my parents were in the hospital...strange...to say the least...however I thought its just an odd coincidence...and left it at that! Cameron and I knew that hospital inside and out...at this point...

They released Mom on January 21st to go home to recover from her bleeds and rest in her own home...and they rescheduled her surgery for Feb 2nd...Mom's recovery at home went great...and her operation was on as scheduled!

Fast Forward 7days...

I got a call late on Jan 27th that my Dad was rushed to Riverbend with chest pains...I called and talked to his nurse and they told me he would go in first thing Friday for a triple bypass...I figured I'd go in Saturday...he'd probably still be in ICU...but he'd be alert and ready for a visit! Well...other plans were in order...I got a call early Saturday saying that Dad might of had a stroke...and being his next of kin...I needed to be there...they predicted the worst...Cam and I were there all day Saturday...and I planned to talk to his Doctor on Monday...and go from there...Well...Monday came and I got another early morning call telling me I needed to get to the hospital as soon as possible Dad wasn't doing well...They did their best to keep him alive until I got there...but Dad had other plans...Jan 31st 2011 at 7:55am My Dad passed away....

at this point...I am still dealing with those feelings...and my Mom is going into surgery on Feb 2nd 2days later for the exact same surgery...while I didn't plan on being there for Mom's surgery after what happened to my Dad...nothing could keep me away...

Needless to say Mom's surgery went nothing like Dad's...Mom was out of ICU in 1 day...and in a regular room...by Friday...and Home by Monday!! AMAZING recovery!!

Sooo to top this ALL off...I get some stinking flu bug on Saturday...and am just now feeling well today! lol...

After all this I am so Thankful for my husband who has been by my side...my kiddos who keep me grounded and my Passion business that even while things go awry I can climb right back in the drivers seat...with 2 FABULOUS parties this weekend!!!

So yes...I am getting my Passion groove back...Diva Val is BACK!!

Yes! I do THOOOOOSE Parties...and lucky you...I am going to share my party, marketing and business stuff here...with a sense of humor and wimsy...we'll find the kooky side of the romance business!!!
